idk if this list is my "actual top 5" but I like playing as so many its hard to say...

yeh, and I used to play a lot of melee back in the day, maining peach/zelda...never actually got to go to any tourneys, but my roommate goes to them and normally gets top 5 or 10 against like actual good ppl, I am pretty sure the one tourney PC Chris was there...but normally I can beat my roommate so I imagine I would fare decently!

yeh, but sadly my Wii is at home with my little brother where I have only dial up, so I can't play online....I would really like to play with you guys sometime, you sound like you are pretty good too



ohh and for, beast i think it was, who said olimar isn't good.....then all I can say is you haven't really played against a good olimar yet i think, because he can be extremely irritating and hard to get inside of imo....

I used to be a tourney level Melee player, those were the days....grueling days...

that was.....years ago! I've since done other things and now that I have free time and got Brawl im new all over again

zero suit samus is relatively faster, and a hell of a lot sexier, but samus is more powerful

I lean towards the heavy hitters, mainly Dedede...cus this time around, they aren't completely taken over by everyone else's speed. And because Dedede is fun as hell to play as, eating items, throwing minions, and Charging your giant space hammer

I said it b4 and i'll say again Brawl needs either Cloud or Sephiroth, i mean just think how many more copys of the game they would have sold to include those 2, i mean cummon if you were any kind of ff nerd you'd go and buy it simply because it has Cloud or Sephiroth in it

I think not having the ability to speak english made Marth gay. but he's still cool.
Roy was a clone character of Marth(not vice versa because Marth came first)
the same reason they removed dr. Mario, pichu, young link, Metal Mario(SSB), and Giant DK(SSB)

mainly because all the high tier whoring players would have complained too much if they included roy but not marth....and I agree, he is very feminine, especially with the light blue hair coloration

and as for having FF characters in the game....surely they could fit into the game well, but it is a game of mainly Nintendo franchise characters...it was enough of a stretch to get Snake and somewhat for Sonic....although both of them have more justification than any FF characters....especially characters like Cloud and Sephiroth that have never been on the Nintendo, perhaps maybe old school FF1 or so characters could be argued for....but i think smash has quite enough old school characters this time around as it is...

he was like my best character in Melee along with the rapist, Falco. And with the differing movesets he could fit in alongside mario here.

damn him and his uber cape, overall he wasn't that hard to play against....but if I had a nickel for everytime someone pulled off some crazy edgeguarding with that cape of his....

plus his smashes were beastly, and he really wasn't too slow

I have never been a fan of the big people really, but you are right that it is much easier to use them now in Brawl...they were like almost impossible to use in Melee except maybe Bowser on the Yoshi's Island stage, and I have also played some crazy DK players too....

but thankfully brawl is more fair and now you can use practically anybody

I guess they tried to cut clones down to one being Toon Link (with his minor differences, like not being able to kick)

how many times am I going to have to say this....

no FF characters in any smash bros. game!!!! sorry, but it is a Nintendo franchise fighting game.....and frankly, none of those FF characters you mention were ever in a Nintendo game.....you see at least Snake was in some original NES games as well as Twin Snakes, and Sonic is in many Nintendo games recently.....but as for those FF characters, its just not going to happen ever

the only FF characters that could deserver a spot are ones from the original NES FF games...like Cecil or someone like that, but even then it is kind of pushing it....

I mean sure it might be cool to have those guys/girls in the game....but frankly it is a Nintendo fighter game, so they shouldn't be....if anything Ridley should have been a playable character....but alas he only managed to get into the game in two boss battles *sigh*
